Dear parishioners and friends,
Today I would like to share about Blessed Fr. Francis Mary of the Cross Jordan, the founder of my religious order, the Society of the Divine Saviour. Following the call from the Holy Spirit, Blessed Fr. Jordan was able to strengthen his faith during the hardest time of faith, when people were turning away from God. He followed the call to become a priest and was blessed by God with a gift for languages. Fr. Francis Mary of the Cross Jordan spent his life with a mission: that of bringing and making known the words of Jesus. Pope Leo XIII gave him the blessing to start a new religious society devoted to spreading the teachings of the faith. Today the witness of Blessed Jordan's holiness is passed on into the hands of each of us. It is entrusted to the Salvatorian family, including your beloved parish, St. Joseph's Church. Today, members of the Society of the Divine Saviour are engaged in apostolic activities in 40 countries around the world.
Pope Francis beatified Blessed Fr. Francis Mary of the Cross Jordan on May 15, 2021 at the Archbasilica of Saint John Lateran, Rome. To read about Blessed Fr. Jordan, and his path for beatification,

O Holy Spirit, Paraclete, perfect in us the work begun by Jesus: enable us to continue to pray fervently in the name of the whole world: hasten in everyone of us the growth of a profound interior life; give vigour to our apostolate so that it may reach all men and all peoples, all redeemed by the Blood of Christ and all belonging to him. Amen. Blessed Father Francis Mary of the Cross Jordan, pray for us.
