2nd Sunday of Easter
John the evangelist describes a community of disciples gripped by fear instead of faith. But Jesus fulfills the promise he made before his death: his appearing through the locked doors confirms that the Holy Spirit will enable Jesus to continue to be present to the fledgling early community of faith, to guide them and to encourage them. Thomas’ doubt does not alienate him from the rest, but rather Jesus offers Thomas what he needs to believe.

From Sunday, April 27 to May 3, we take a moment to celebrate the incredible impact of volunteers across our parish communities.
Our volunteers are the light of the world—quiet champions who reflect Christ’s love in action. Whether preparing liturgies, welcoming newcomers, maintaining sacred spaces, or accompanying others in their journey of faith, they reveal the grace of a Church alive in mission. Their witness extends far beyond Easter joy, becoming a steady beacon of hope and renewal in the life of the Church.
To our Volunteers and Parish Ministers:
- "You are the light of the world... let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven." (Matthew 5:14,16) Your love in action is the heartbeat of our Renewal journey. Thank you for living out your baptismal call with courage, joy, and fidelity.
