Two Visiting Salvatorian Priests from Poland this Weekend
As you may remember, my superior and I attend the Provincial Chapter in Poland in January. We tried to approach some experienced and solid brother priests and invite them to consider coming to Canada. At that time, no one was ready. However, just a few weeks ago, a couple of them contacted us and wanted to come and see the service of the Salvatorians in Canada. I wish to warmly welcome Fr. Mirek and Fr. Tomek, who will stay with us in Calgary for 3 days, visiting our 3 Salvatorian parishes. Later, they will spend a few days in the Salvatorian parishes in Vancouver. If you meet them at Mass this weekend, please say hello. We pray and hope that they will soon join us in Canada.

🎹 Share Your Musical Gifts This Summer
Do you have a heart for music and a desire to serve? St. Joseph’s Music Ministry seeks pianists to accompany our 11 am Mass choir in June, July, and August. This is a wonderful opportunity to explore music ministry and contribute to our worship services.
The primary responsibility will be accompanying congregational singing during Sunday Masses at St. Joseph, which includes a diverse repertoire of hymns. Intermediate and advanced sight-reading skills are a great asset.
- Music prepared in advance: Our music coordinator will select hymns ahead of time, allowing ample time for preparation.
- Supportive environment: Support is available to help you feel confident and equipped.
- Flexible commitment: No need to commit to every Sunday—we’re happy to start a rotation list!

Ascension of the Lord
Luke’s Gospel begins and ends in the temple. Where Luke’s Gospel ends, Luke’s Acts begins – last minute instructions and words of farewell before Jesus is taken up into heaven. After Jesus’ death the apostles had often locked themselves up out of fear, now, Luke tells us, they feel “great joy” and go to the temple frequently to praise God.
- Through faith the disciples believed that Jesus ascended into heaven and will return again. How are you/we preparing to meet him?
