Thank you to all our parishioners from the Society St. Vincent de Paul
On Saturday December 6, we gathered together to help families in need within our parish.
This year we were able to provide hampers to 69 families helping 134 adults and 106 children. This is only possible through the continued support and generosity of the parishioners of St. Joseph's. With these generous donations, we purchased gift cards for food and gifts for the children. This allowed the families to buy the food that best supports their needs and parents are able to purchase gifts that would best suit their children. They get the joy of buying something that they would like.
Please know that any excess funds we received will be used in our regular hamper program which we run all year long delivering twice a week.
The members of the Saint Vincent de Paul start working on the Christmas hamper program in September. There is a lot of work that goes into getting ready every year but without the support of the church volunteers coming out each year to deliver these hampers to the families, the program would not be possible.
We would also like to thank the staff, students and parents of St. Joseph School who donated the personal items that we provided to our families in need.
