• Loreto Crypt: Sanctuary for Little Souls
  The Diocese of Calgary is pleased to announce the opening of the Loreto Crypt at Queen’s Park Cemetery (3219 4 St NW, Calgary), a permanent, above-ground mausoleum offering a dignified resting place for babies lost through miscarriage before 20 weeks of gestation. The crypt is open to all families, Catholic and non Catholic.
  
  Families begin the process by contacting a licensed funeral home, which will coordinate directly with the Diocese and the City of Calgary. There is no diocesan fee, and burial costs are covered by the City during regular operating hours.

• Screening: Triumph of the Heart
  This January, Calgarians are invited to a special community screening of Triumph of the Heart, a powerful film on the life and martyrdom of St. Maximilian Kolbe. The film tells the true story of the Polish priest who, while imprisoned at Auschwitz during the Second World War, offered his life in place of another condemned prisoner. It is a moving witness to faith, courage, and sacrificial love. Tickets are approximately $7, with half of any proceeds donated to the St. Vincent de Paul Society. • Grief Share Program
  St. Michael’s Grief Support Ministry invites individuals who have experienced the loss of a loved one to take part in an eight-week Grief Share Program. When: Tuesdays, Jan 13 to Mar 3, from 7 pm to 9 pm at St. Michael’s Catholic Community, Calgary. Each session includes a video seminar, facilitated group discussion, and a personal workbook, offering a supportive and faith-based space to walk with others through grief. • Fam Cat - Catholic Family Catechism
  Fam Cat invites families to grow together in faith through a Catholic family catechism program rooted in formation, community, and the domestic church. Catechesis is offered for every member of the family, including adults, with support from a welcoming Catholic community. Babysitting is available. When: Saturdays, from 10 am to 12 noon at St. Mary’s University, Classroom Building - sessions run on Jan 17 and 31, Feb 14 and 28, Mar 14 and 28, and Apr 11 and 25. • Week of Prayer for Christian Unity
  During the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity (Jan 18-25), Catholics are invited to pray with Christians around the world for the unity Christ desires for His Church. Parishes, families, and individuals are encouraged to take part through prayer at Mass, at home, or in small groups. Catholic prayer resources, Scripture reflections, and liturgical suggestions are available to support participation throughout the week. Get resources here.
  
  
• Fun Night with the Sisters
  Young women ages 16+ are invited to a fun evening of conversation, games, and a shared meal with religious women in the Diocese; parental permission is required for minors.
